My name is Kara Harper, the College & Career Coordinator for MHS. I began my career in education 26 years ago. I have been a teacher, university academic advisor, librarian and now the C&C Coordinator. I spent the first 35 years of my life in Oklahoma, moved to Magnolia in 2012 and immediately began working for Magnolia ISD. I graduated with a BS in Education from Oklahoma City University in 1999 and my MLIS from Sam Houston State University in 2020. I have two kids that graduated from Magnolia High School. My son just graduated from college and my daughter will be starting nursing school at OUHSC in the fall of 2025. I love navigating this journey with students, parents, staff and the community as we explore future opportunities.
