Welcome to Health Science!

Hi!  I am Mrs. Doughty and I will be teaching Health Science Technology classes this year.  This is my eighth year at Magnolia High School after working in healthcare for over 30 years as a registered Medical Technologist; the last 26 years in Blood Bank at Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center.  My Bachelor of Science degree is in Medical Technology from LSU Shreveport, and my Alternative Teaching Certification is from Lone Star College Kingwood.  I obtained my EMT-Basic certification through Montgomery County Hospital District.  I am certified as a CPR instructor by the American Heart Association.

I look forward to exploring Medical Terminology and Principles of Health Science with your students.   All students in these classes will have the opportunity to join the SkillsUSA organization and participate in Health Science competitions.  More information concerning this will be given to your student in September.

Please contact me with any questions or concerns you may have about this class or your student. You can reach me by email at or by phone @ (281) 356-3572 and front office staff can leave me a message.  I will additionally have office hours during the online learning each Tuesday and Thursday from 2:30 until 3:30.  You may reach me through the Canvas Chat function, school email, or leave a telephone message with the front office and I'll get back to you.

Iā€™m looking forward to a great year with your student!
