The Coolidge A Scholarship for America
 The Coolidge Scholarship is a full-ride, four-year, merit scholarship that may be used by recipients for undergraduate study at any accredited college or university in the United States. Any high school junior who plans on enrolling in college in the fall of 2020 and is an American citizen or legal permanent resident is eligible to apply (unfortunately current high school seniors are not eligible to apply).       https://coolidgescholars.org/apply/

Coolidge Scholars are selected based primarily on academic excellence. Secondary criteria include: an interest in public policy, an appreciation for and understanding of the values President Coolidge championed, as well as humility and service.

MCFA gave $150,500 in scholarships to graduating seniors last year.  Fifty (50) $2,500 scholarships at least one was given to each high school in the county.
 
Criteria:  Academic standing in the top 25%, minimum SAT of 900 or ACT 20.  Participation in 4H or FFA is NOT a requirement.

The 2018-2019 Service First Automotive Centers Humanitarian Scholarship

 

The Service First Automotive Centers Humanitarian Scholarship was created to recognize high school students who have made an impact in their community, school, or in the lives of others.

The scholarship is open to all graduating high school seniors with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 who plan to attend an accredited institution of higher learning including a college, university, junior college, community college, trade or technical school. The scholarship award(s) will range from $1,000-$5,000.

Application Instructions:

1. Complete application questions.

2. Attach your 500 word essay in PDF form.

3. Attach a copy of your unofficial transcript.

4. Please print your submission verification, essay, and unofficial transcript and submit to your guidance counselor.

The scholarship deadline is April 1, 2019 and recipients will be notified no later than April 30, 2019. The scholarship check will be given directly to the recipient after proof of enrollment at the institution of higher learning is presented to the scholarship committee and verified.

Jeffery Ingram Memorial Scholarship 
Jeff was a 1999 graduate of Magnolia High School.  This scholarship is to honor the many lives touch by Jeff Ingram so others may follow their dreams.  Three (3) $10,000 scholarships are given to Magnolia ISD students.

Vinson & Elkins Diversity Scholarship
 
  • The Vinson & Elkins L.L.P. Scholarship Foundation will award $10,000 scholarships with paid summer internship opportunities to achieving high school seniors who are members of a racial/ethnic group which has been historically underrepresented in the legal profession (Black/African American, Asian (including South Asian), Hispanic/Latino, American Indian/Alaskan Native, Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander and/or identify as a member of the LGBT community in the greater Austin, Dallas and Houston areas. These seniors must be interested in a career in law, be in the top 20% standing in their class with a minimum combined SAT score of 1100 or ACT score of 22, and demonstrate a financial need to attend college.

"Stay Dylan Strong" Scholarship Foundation
Dylan attended Magnolia schools his whole life and lost his battle with Ewing's to Sarcoma Cancer on 08/01/2015.  This scholarship represents both sides of Dylan's incredible motto of being an athlete and a scholar.  Scholarships are in multiples of $1,000 to athletes and/or scholars.  Application deadline April 30, 2019
 
Requires GPA 3.5 on a weighted 5.0 scale.
