About Me

This is my second year in Magnolia ISD, and I love the kids and staff in this district! Before coming to MISD, I attended undergraduate and graduate school at Baylor University, where I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and my Education Specialist's degree in School Psychology. I am licensed to practice psychology in public schools in Texas as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP). I am from San Antonio, but currently live in Spring with my husband and our dog. We got married in July 2017 and we both plan to live and work in the Houston area for the foreseeable future. We are having fun exploring everything this city has to offer!
As an LSSP, my job duties are varied and diverse. Depending on the campus, it may include counseling, determining the best instructional strategies to improve learning, and reinforcing social skills, problem solving, and anger management. I consult with teachers and other school personnel to support student success. A big part of my job in MISD is evaluating eligibility for special education services. I also can help connect parents with community resources, consult with outside providers, and arrange for training if needed. While my job covers many duties, my focus is the student and I strive to benefit them in everything that I do.
I am based at Magnolia High School and Ellisor Elementary, but sometimes I conduct assessments across the district. I can be reached by any of the methods below. Please feel free to reach out and let me know how I can help you or your child!
